3 Arrested in Shocking Mobile Money Murders, 4th on the Run

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has made great progress in resolving the vicious killings of two Kumasi mobile money dealers. Three suspects connected to the crimes have been apprehended by authorities, and they are actively searching for a fourth accomplice who is still at large. Philip Fordjour (29), Samuel Addae Mensah (42) and Charles Kwame Danso (23), commonly known as Kwame Charles or Miami, were detained on March 21, 2025, at Pankrono and Atimatim, respectively. The accused are being held by the police and will likely soon be the subject of legal action. The search for Martin Amoah, also known as Baba Macho or Augustine Amoah, is being stepped up by law enforcement. According to authorities, he might be hiding in Accra, Diaso, which is close to Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region, or Kumasi.

During a press briefing on March 25, 2025, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, appealed to the public for assistance in locating the suspect.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the Police via Toll-Free numbers 191, 112, or 18555 for MTN and Telecel users,” he stated.

There were two distinct terrible events that prompted this study. On February 13, 2025, Patricia Nimako was brutally murdered during a heist in Krofrom, which was the first attack. The second was the assault and murder of Gideon Owusu Sarpong, commonly known as Junior, a mobile money dealer, in his Kwadaso residence on March 10, 2025. The public has been reassured by authorities that justice will be done and that they are committed to catching all of the suspects involved. To help bring the last suspect to justice, the police want the public to be on the lookout and report any suspicious activity.

Although the arrests represent a major advance in the case, the investigation is still ongoing because one suspect is still at large. Law enforcement is unwavering in its resolve to hold all of the offenders accountable.
