A fuel tanker exploded on the Kumasi-Accra Highway on Monday, April 29. Firefighters from the Suhum Fire Station, led by STNO II Darwah Prince Ofobi, swiftly responded to the emergency involving a Man Diesel fuel tanker with registration GS 5343-18. Responding to a distress call, the firefighters efficiently managed to contain the situation within a short time. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) stated on its Facebook page that there were no reported injuries. The cause of the explosion is presently being investigated.
