A comprehensive schedule of planned maintenance activities that will occur throughout the Greater Accra Region between Saturday, May 3, and Monday, May 5, 2025, has been announced by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). These maintenance procedures are a part of ECG’s continuous endeavors to increase power reliability, upgrade infrastructure, and guarantee effective energy distribution to consumers. Every day, specific areas will experience brief power interruptions due to the maintenance, according to the notification made public on ECG’s official channels. To reduce inconvenience, the utility company is recommending impacted businesses and residents to prepare appropriately.

The power outage is planned for Saturday, May 3, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs as well as the surrounding communities would be affected. Maintenance will be done from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4. There will be power outages in the nearby areas of Mayfair Estate, Martey Tsuru, Obedibem, and Airport Hills. On Monday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the last stage of the maintenance exercise is scheduled to take place. Lakeside Estate, New Legon, Dawu, Rosa Rosa, Akropong, Abiriw, Adukrom, Aperede, and the adjacent areas will all experience power outages.

It is highly recommended that residents in the impacted areas prepare ahead of time, charge important electronics, and, if needed, look into alternate power sources. ECG reaffirmed its dedication to offering top-notch service and encouraged clients to keep up with any adjustments or modifications via its official communication channels.
