Actor Lilwin Makes First Public Statement on Amakom Accident
Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has expressed his gratitude to God for surviving a car accident on Saturday.
The accident occurred while he was en route to the premiere of his movie, “A Country Called Ghana,” in Kumasi. Lilwin made his first public statement regarding the accident at the movie premiere, just hours after the incident.
Wearing a white bandage on his forehead, he addressed the crowd, explaining that although he had been advised to stay indoors, he felt compelled to attend the event in appreciation of the support from local chiefs and other attendees.
He attributed his survival to the grace of God and thanked everyone for their support. The accident, which happened on Saturday morning in Amakom, a suburb of Kumasi, resulted in injuries to Lilwin and two others.
Eyewitnesses reported that Lilwin’s vehicle, which was speeding at the Amakom intersection, veered into the adjacent lane. The collision caused head injuries to Lilwin and his two passengers and left the cars significantly damaged. Another victim stated that the speeding vehicle also smashed her car lights.
