On Thursday, February 15, Ghanaian actress Regina Adu Safowaah successfully completed her attempt at the Guinness World Records (GWR) for the longest speech marathon by an individual.

Starting on Friday, February 9, at the La Palm Royal Hotel, Adu Safowaah aimed to reach a target of 130 hours, which she successfully achieved.

Her accomplishment surpasses the current record held by Anata Ram KC from Nepal, who spoke continuously for an impressive 90 hours and 2 minutes from August 27 to 31, 2018.

The speech marathon took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra and garnered support from various celebrities. TV presenters Nana Ama McBrown and Nana Yaa Brefo, actor Kwaku Manu, and gospel musician Piesie Esther were among those who attended the event.

Additional notable attendees included Oheneyere Gifty Anti, Stacy Akua Amoakwaa, Episode, and Tung-Teiya Dahamani from Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2022.

During the marathon, Adu Safowaah delivered speeches in three languages: English, Twi, and French, with each speech lasting a minimum of 5 minutes.

Now, she awaits official confirmation from the Guinness World Records to solidify her achievement.
