On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Akua Donkor, the founder and head of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), will be laid to rest, marking the end of a notable figure in Ghanaian politics. Final funeral ceremonies will be held from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at her hometown of Ejuratia, where she will be buried.

To commemorate her life and contributions to Ghanaian politics, family, friends, political allies, and members of the public are anticipated to come together. Akua Donkor’s legacy is characterized by her fervent support of farmers, women’s rights, and the inclusion of underrepresented groups in governance. She died on October 28, 2024, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
