Alan Kyerematen, founder and leader of the Movement for Change, asserts that his recognition among voters surpasses that of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) respectively.
Speaking on Citi FM’s Citi Breakfast Show, Alan emphasized his widespread familiarity across the nation, stating that his name and face are known in every village in Ghana.
Kyerematen highlighted his extensive presence in past campaigns alongside President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, attributing his strong voter connection to his active engagement on the ground.
He believes that his time has come to lead Ghana, suggesting a spiritual element to his journey towards the presidency. Moreover, Alan argued that a significant portion of the electorate is disillusioned with both the NPP and the NDC. He cited feedback from his tours indicating that 70 to 80 percent of the populace is open to supporting him as an independent candidate, reflecting a growing desire for change.
