Antoine Semenyo Extends Contract with AFC Bournemouth Until 2029
Antoine Semenyo, the Black Stars forward, has signed a five-year contract extension with AFC Bournemouth, committing to the club until 2029.
The 24-year-old made a significant impact last season, featuring in 33 matches across all competitions, scoring eight goals, and providing two assists under manager Andoni Iraola.
Semenyo’s stellar performances earned him the club’s Michael Matthews Jewellers Player of the Month award for November.
He initially joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023 and famously netted a brace in a remarkable comeback victory against Luton Town.
Internationally, Semenyo has scored two goals in 22 appearances for the Black Stars since his debut in 2022. AFC Bournemouth’s chief executive, Neill Blake, emphasized the importance of the contract extension, highlighting Semenyo’s development and contributions to the team.
As Semenyo joins his teammates for preseason preparations, the club is eager to see his continued success in the upcoming 2024/25 season.
