The Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) has announced the resumption of its haemodialysis services, which were temporarily suspended on June 14, 2024, due to quality concerns.
This decision affected numerous patients from the Central, Western, and parts of the Eastern regions who rely on the hospital for critical renal care.
In a statement dated June 14, 2024, the hospital explained:
“The decision was made in response to quality issues encountered last week during our regular operations.”
Frederick Nyankah, the Public Relations Officer of CCTH, confirmed in a follow-up statement on June 26, 2024, that the hospital has worked diligently to address and resolve these issues, ensuring that haemodialysis services could safely resume.
