Charli XCX Named Brit Awards Songwriter of the Year

At the 2025 Brit Awards, pop sensation Charli XCX won the coveted Songwriter of the Year title, which is a major turning point in her 12-year career. Charli XCX, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, has maintained her distinctive avant-garde sound while making a smooth transition from cult pop artist to mainstream stardom. Her futuristic pop sound and intensely intimate lyrics, which delve into themes of fear and self-discovery, have garnered praise for her album *Brat*.

“Brat Summer” became a cultural phenomenon as a result of the album’s viral success, especially the dancing movement that the song “Apple” started. At the 2024 Grammy Awards, Charli also had a significant moment.
