Chef Smith concludes his Guinness World Record cooking marathon with 820 hours

Ghanaian Chef Ebenezer Smith has successfully completed his attempt at a cooking marathon, clocking over 800 hours of continuous cooking.

With a determination to establish a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, Chef Smith commenced his endeavor on February 1, 2024.

After over a month of relentless culinary efforts, he concluded his marathon on March 6, 2024, achieving an impressive total of 820 hours.

On March 5, a star-studded lineup of performers, including Praye Tietia, Yaw Tog, Amerado, Kofi Jamar, and the Asakaa Boys, graced his cook-a-thon.

Throughout this extraordinary challenge, numerous celebrities, such as Nana Ama McBrown, Clemento Suarez, Kwaku Manu, SDK, and OB Amponsah, visited the Amadia Shopping Centre at Spintex to extend their support for Chef Smith’s remarkable feat.

The cooking marathon was sponsored by the Amadia Shopping Centre at Spintex, where the event took place. Chef Smith’s ultimate goal was to surpass the official 119-hour record set by Alan Fisher.
