The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has declared its intention to elect a flagbearer by August 2024, despite being six months away from the general elections.
The party remains committed to participating in the polls and is confident in its ability to campaign effectively within the remaining timeframe.
On June 3, 2024, the CPP began auditing the constituency album in collaboration with its regional executives. Moses Yirimambo Ambing, the Coordinator for the National Organisational Committee, emphasized that although the party is late in the electoral calendar, it has been actively preparing through data-driven strategies.
He assured that potential candidates are already working in constituencies, and the party is targeting specific areas for their campaign. Ambing also expressed optimism about uniting the party and engaging former members, including former general secretary Nana Yaa Jantuah, in the campaign efforts.
The CPP aims to consolidate its strength and present a formidable challenge in the upcoming elections, signaling readiness for a competitive race against the major parties, NPP and NDC.
