Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the New Patriotic Party’s Flag bearer for the 2024 Ghana Elections, recently lauded the Ghana National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, for their dedication and contributions to the nation.
His visit came just before their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic (CAR) at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
Accompanied by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, Dr. Bawumia met with the Black Stars, who were buoyed by their recent 2-1 victory over Mali. The Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku, acknowledged Dr. Bawumia’s logistical support during the team’s trip from Mali, praising his commitment to the squad.
