Speaking at the signing of the 4th Presidential Election Peace Pact in Accra, Jean Mensa underscored the importance of trust in the electoral system. She stated that the EC has implemented robust measures to ensure the integrity of the process and called on political parties to support peace before, during, and after the elections.

She noted that these efforts are vital for maintaining public confidence in the democratic process and ensuring stability.

“As a Commission, we have consistently demonstrated our dedication to peace. Our actions throughout the electoral process are guided by the goal of promoting unity and fostering a peaceful environment,” Mensa said.

The EC also called on all stakeholders, including political parties, civil society organizations, and voters, to prioritize peace and unity during the electoral process.
