Election 2024: NPP Wraps Up Campaign with ‘Possibilities Victory Rally’ on December 5

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced its grand final rally, dubbed the Possibilities Victory Rally, to cap off its nationwide campaign for the 2024 general elections. Scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024, the rally will take place at the UG Sports Directorate Park, located opposite the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
Henry Nana Boakye, the NPP’s National Organizer, extended an open invitation to party members, supporters, and the general public in a statement released on November 30, 2024. He described the event as a “historic programme” aimed at galvanizing the party’s base, which will be broadcast live on multiple media platforms for a nationwide audience.
The rally is expected to feature the NPP’s top brass, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the party’s flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, National Chairman Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim, and General Secretary Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong.
Rivalry and High-Stakes Finale
Interestingly, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has also scheduled its final campaign rally for the same day. This parallel event heightens the stakes, as both major political parties aim to solidify their messages and energize supporters ahead of the December 7 polls.
The NPP rally will likely highlight the party’s achievements over its years in government and present its vision for the next four years under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia. Meanwhile, the NDC, led by John Dramani Mahama, is anticipated to use its rally to critique the NPP’s performance and present its agenda for a better Ghana.
As Ghana prepares for one of its most competitive elections, both rallies will serve as decisive platforms for engaging undecided voters and consolidating party loyalists.
