Following his second appointment as Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo has named his first squad, which includes a number of returning players as well as numerous new faces.
The 26-man roster includes David Akologo, a forward from Bolivia, Ibrahim Osman, a forward from Nordsjaelland, Nathaniel Adjei, a forward from France, and Diomande Mohammed, a winger for Rangers, who has received his first call-up to the national side.
The roster also includes Frederick Asare of Asante Kotoko, Patrick Kpozo, left-back, Fatawu Issahaku of Leicester City, and Edmund Addo, a midfielder who is back in the lineup after an absence.
Tariq Lamptey, a right-back for Brighton & Hove Albion, has been included in the team after recovering from an injury that prevented him from playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Elisha Owusu, Mohammed Kudus, Osman Bukari, Samed Abdul Samed, captain Andre Ayew, and attacker Jordan Ayew are among the other noteworthy members of the team.
Ghana’s two international friendlies are scheduled to take place on March 22 against Nigeria and four days later against Uganda.
