In a compelling address at the National Conference of the Ministers’ Wives Association of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, former First Lady Lordina Mahama appealed to voters to prioritize the nation’s future over short-term incentives.
Speaking to a gathering of around 2,000 pastors’ wives in Gomoa Fetteh, Central Region, Mrs. Mahama emphasized the critical importance of electing leaders capable of improving the country’s living conditions.
Mrs. Mahama stressed that voters should not be swayed by misinformation or material rewards.
She urged the electorate to seek out candidates with genuine plans for the nation’s advancement, rather than those who offer superficial benefits.
Her message underscored the significance of making informed and discerning choices in the upcoming elections. As a member of the Assemblies of God church, Mrs. Mahama also took a moment to call for prayers for her husband, John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). She expressed deep appreciation for the ongoing support and guidance provided by the pastors’ wives to their communities and highlighted the need for divine support and wisdom for her husband’s political journey.
