Four Staff Members of Somè Senior High School have been Remanded in Police Custody for Alleged Theft
Four staff members of Somé Senior High School in the Ketu South Municipality have been remanded into police custody by the Circuit Court at Tokor.
The Assistant Headmistress in charge of academics, the Bursar, the Matron, and the Storekeeper pleaded not guilty to charges of stealing food items meant for students.
The accused officials are Richard Ametorxe (Bursar), Yorm Dzikumu (Matron), and Alex Obuadi (Storekeeper). They have been interdicted by the Ghana Education Service (GES) and suspended with immediate effect. A committee has been formed to investigate the matter within two weeks.

The investigation began after a search conducted by some alumni and the assembly member on Friday, May 24, uncovered food items, including tin tomatoes, mackerel, cleaning agents, and insecticide spray, in the Matron’s possession as she and the Bursar were leaving the school.
The case continues as the GES seeks to determine the full extent of the alleged theft and the involvement of the implicated officials.
