Fuel Prices Surge in Ghana: Diesel Nears GHȼ15 per Litre
Recent increases in fuel prices have hit consumers hard in Ghana, with major market leaders like GOIL and Total Energies adjusting their prices upwards.
GOIL is now selling petrol at GH₵14.80 per liter, while Diesel XP is priced at GH₵14.92 per liter.
Total Energies has similarly raised prices to GH₵14.85 for petrol and GH₵14.95 for diesel, up from GH₵14.65 in previous pricing windows.
Other oil marketing companies (OMCs) have also followed suit with price hikes due to rising costs of refined petroleum products on the global market and the depreciation of the Ghanaian Cedi.
For instance, Star Oil now sells petrol at GHȼ13.83 per liter, up from GHȼ13.66, and diesel at GHȼ14.79, up from GHȼ13.97 in June’s pricing window.
