Ghanaian actress and media personality, Regina Adu Sarfowah, has opened up about the devastating consequences of engaging in controversy, leading to the loss of her hard-earned achievements.

She admitted to losing valuable deals due to clashes with industry peers in the past, causing her to be shunned by both businesses and the public.

In an effort to reclaim her reputation and standing, Sarfowah undertook a bold endeavor: breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest solo speech.

She explained that this ambitious project was her way of reshaping her identity and proving herself anew. Sarfowah revealed these insights during an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3’s Day Show last Saturday.

“Berla, you know I’m that person who saw fame early. I saw in 2015 via ‘Adonko Fa me ko’. That same year I had the opportunity to win Best New Actress in Entertainment in Nigeria. From then I had so many ambassadorial deals and so many opportunities. But along the way, I diverted into controversies and I tell you, I lost everything that I had built.

“Because in the world of controversy, that is where nobody wants to associate themselves with you. I was happy in controversy to be trending every week…you know from one issue to another …so at a point I lost everything. So, I decided to go on a journey of rebirth and that was why I embarked on the longest speaking marathon journey,” she said.

According to her, this feat has really helped her to redefine her reputation and what she was previously known for.
