Ghanaian rapper and Hiplife artist Maradona Yeboah Adjei, commonly known as Guru, delivered more than just music at the TGMA Xperience Concert in Cape Coast yesterday. Amidst entertaining the audience, Guru took the opportunity to underscore the importance of education in shaping one’s future.

He passionately encouraged young people to prioritize their formal education, emphasizing its role as a key to unlocking opportunities and achieving success. Guru noted that distractions and temptations often confront the youth, potentially derailing their academic endeavors, and urged them to steer clear of any activities that could hinder their progress.

“Don’t underestimate the importance of education. Take it seriously because it is crucial. Education is fundamental to progress and realizing one’s aspirations. Knowledge is power, and we must seize the opportunities that learning provides,” he emphasized.

Drawing from his personal experiences, the rapper highlighted the importance of diligence and perseverance in academic pursuits, emphasizing that it’s never too late to embark on the journey of learning.

Known for his contemporary hip-hop rap style that blends English and Ghanaian indigenous languages, Guru treated concert-goers to a selection of his top hits, including Mmaakuo, Lapaz Toyota, Bonsam Ani, Poole, Boys Abre, and Nkwadaa.
