CAF Women’s Futsal AFCON 2025 Draw

On Thursday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo set the stage for a major moment in African women’s futsal. For the first time ever, the draw for the CAF Women’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) was held, revealing the groups for what will be a groundbreaking tournament.

This competition, scheduled from April 22 to 30, 2025, is a huge deal. Women’s futsal in Africa has been growing steadily, but this is the first time the continent will crown an official champion. With nine teams in the running, the stakes are high, and the excitement is already building.

Here’s how the teams are grouped:

– Group A: Morocco, Cameroon, Namibia
– Group B: Angola, Egypt, Guinea
– Group C: Madagascar, Tanzania, Senegal

As the host nation, Morocco will have home advantage in Group A, where they’ll face Cameroon and Namibia. Group B brings together three teams with serious potential and Group C also brings a tough team.

This also tournament doubles as a qualifier for the 2025 FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup in the Philippines. The two finalists won’t just be playing for the African crown—they’ll also earn the right to represent the continent on the world stage.
