Dr. John Kumah passed away at the Suhum government hospital at approximately 12:40 PM. He was travelling from Ejisu to Accra with his wife and a medical professional when the doctor on board realised that Mr. Kumah’s condition was rapidly declining. As a result, the ambulance carrying them was diverted to the Suhum medical facility.
When he arrived at the hospital on Thursday, March 7, 2024, a little after 11:00 am, the medical staff worked to stabilise him so he could go to Accra and then on to Germany, where he has been receiving treatment for his health issue. Nevertheless, the Suhum government hospital was unable to sustain his life.
Contrary to rumours in circulation, the widow of the late John Kumah, the Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu, has declared that her husband did not pass away from food poisoning.
Rather, she explained, he fought valiantly against a serious disease for more than a year.
Apostle Lilian Kumah revealed in an interview with Asaase News that her late husband did not die from food poisoning on Thursday, March 7, 2024, but rather from a deadly illness that he had been fighting for almost a year since his physicians in Germany found it.
Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, who is also the General Overseer of Disciples of Christ Ministries, asked everyone who was conjecturing about her husband’s cause of death to stop immediately, as it is adding to the suffering of her immediate family and the wider Kumah family. Her voice was grave and sorrowful.
Speaking about the true reason for her husband’s passing, Apostle Lilian Kumah revealed that sometime in August 2023, while visiting her husband for a check-up, John Kumah was diagnosed with a blood-related illness in Germany.
Mrs. Kumah went on to say that during her husband’s medical examinations in Ghana and Germany, none of the physicians they saw ever brought up the subject of poisoning in her late husband’s blood vessels.
