Joselyn Dumas Not in Govt – Felix Kwakye Ofosu Clears Air
Joselyn Dumas Has Not Been Appointed to Any Government Position – Felix Kwakye Ofosu Clarifies

Reports that Ghanaian actress and television star Joselyn Dumas has been named the Office of the President’s Deputy Director of Diaspora Affairs have been refuted by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in charge of Government Communications.
On March 2, 2025, rumors started to circulate on many media channels that the well-known actress had landed a position in President John Mahama’s cabinet. However, Kwakye Ofosu categorically refuted these allegations in an interview with Joy FM.
Although he admitted that the administration had assigned a number of prominent figures in the creative arts to important roles, Joselyn Dumas was not one of them.
“Miss Dumas has not been appointed to any such position. I can confirm the appointments of the others,” Kwakye Ofosu stated.
Actor James Gardiner was recently chosen as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, while actress and filmmaker Kafui Danku was named Executive Secretary of the same body. Furthermore, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), a well-known figure in the media, has joined the Office of the President as the Director of Diaspora Affairs. Radio host Abeiku Santana was chosen Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, and veteran musician Rex Omar was named Coordinator of the Black Star Experience.
The government has made it plain that Joselyn Dumas does not currently occupy any official role, even in light of these noteworthy appointments within the creative industry. The purpose of the statement is to clear up any misunderstandings about her participation in state activities.
