King Promise Sponsors PR Officer Tilly Akua Nipaa’s Master’s Degree After TGMA Win

The well-known Ghanaian musician and current TGMA Artiste of the Year, King Promise, has shown his gratitude by agreeing to support his public relations officer Tilly Akua Nipaa’s postgraduate studies. In an interview on Accra FM on May 13, 2025, the announcement—which emphasizes the close relationship between the musician and his team—was made public.
At the 26th Telecel Ghana Music accolades (TGMA), when he won four major accolades, including the ultimate Artiste of the Year title, King Promise recognized Tilly’s crucial contribution to his recent success. He disclosed that his profile was elevated to award-winning prominence in large part due to her strategic promotion and constant backing. He intends to pay for her master’s degree program as an expression of appreciation.
“I really admire Tilly’s dedication. She did an amazing job. I spoke with my management, and I’ve decided to fund her master’s degree. She’s been instrumental to everything we’ve achieved this year,” King Promise stated during the interview.
Tilly was hired as King Promise’s official public relations representative for the TGMA campaign. She made sure that voters, the awards academy, and the general public were aware of King Promise’s accomplishments and brand through a succession of well-thought-out media techniques and a powerful marketing campaign.
Her efforts paid off as King Promise won the coveted accolade by defeating formidable opponents including Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, King Paluta, and Black Sherif. In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Tilly said that King Promise had personally contacted her to clarify her position on his team amid post-award rumors over their ongoing collaboration.“Yes, he called me and made it clear that I’m still part of the team. I’m excited about what lies ahead,” she said.
King Promise received Afropop Song of the Year for Paris, Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste, and Album of the Year for True to Self in addition to Artiste of the Year. His thoughtful act toward Tilly demonstrates his dedication to uplift people that help him succeed, establishing a commendable benchmark in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
