Kylian Mbappe has officially signed a contract to join Real Madrid on a free transfer after his Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) deal expires on June 30, 2024.
The French striker, who verbally agreed to move to the Bernabeu in February and announced his departure from PSG in May, has now finalized terms with the Spanish giants. He will join Real Madrid when the La Liga transfer window opens on July 1, 2024
Real Madrid is expected to announce the deal next week, with plans to present Mbappe formally at the Bernabeu following Euro 2024. Mbappe, who is PSG’s all-time leading scorer with 256 goals since his initial loan move from Monaco in 2017, has signed a contract with Real Madrid until 2029.
The deal includes an annual salary of 15 million euros (£12.8 million) and a signing-on bonus of 150 million euros (£128 million) to be paid over five years. Additionally, Mbappe will retain a percentage of his image rights.

Mbappe will have the opportunity to play alongside Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, who is set to sign a new one-year extension with Real Madrid. Modric, 38, contributed to Madrid’s 15th European Cup victory with a 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley. His current contract expires later this month, but he is expected to remain with the club for another 12 months .
