In a landmark move for Ghana’s financial sector, President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu as the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) . Further solidifying her expertise, she became a Chartered Executive Banker certified by CIB-Ghana in 2024 .

Professionally, Mrs. Asante-Asiedu has demonstrated exceptional leadership as the Group Head of Retail Banking at Access Bank Ghana PLC, where she was instrumental in driving growth and innovation in retail financial services. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident from her participation in executive programs at prestigious institutions such as Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, the Wharton School, and Marquette University’s Les Aspin Centre.
