Mahama Swears In John Dumelo, Srem Sai, Suhuyini, and Other Deputy Ministers

A new group of deputy ministers, including John Dumelo, Alhassan Suhuyini, and Justice Srem Sai, have been formally sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama to assist various government ministries. On Wednesday, March 12, the swearing-in ceremony was held at the Jubilee House after they were successfully vetted and approved by Parliament.
These deputy ministers will support their sector ministers in carrying out important government directives, promoting national growth, and making sure their ministries run smoothly.
President Mahama urged the recently appointed officials to serve diligently and put Ghanaians’ interests first during the occasion. He underlined the importance of cooperation, honesty, and dedication to the advancement of the country.
“Your appointment is a call to serve the people of Ghana. I expect you to work in unity with your sector ministers to implement policies that will improve the lives of our citizens,” Mahama stated.
John Dumelo, who takes up the role of Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, and Alhassan Suhuyini, the newly appointed Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, assured the President of their dedication to executing government initiatives effectively.

Richard Gyan-Mensah – Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition
Yusif Sulemana – Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources
Yussif Issaka Jajah – Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts
Rita Naa Odoley Sowah – Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy & Religious Affairs
Gizella Tettey-Agbotui – Deputy Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources
Lydia Akanvariba – Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms
