Mahama Unveils First Deputy Minister Nominees for Approval
President Mahama Nominates First Batch of Deputy Ministers for Parliamentary Approval

In anticipation of parliamentary review and approval, President John Dramani Mahama has formally selected his first group of deputy ministers. The Speaker of Parliament has been asked to evaluate these nominations, which were made in line with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the Constitution. Actor John Kofi Setor Dumelo, a member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and a nominee for deputy minister of food and agriculture, is one of the prominent new hires. Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini for the Ministry of Roads and Highways, Justice Srem-Sai for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, and Gizella Tettey-Agbotui for the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources are other important nominees. With these selections, President Mahama has now nominated 55 ministers in total.
