More than 30% of teachers failed the licensure exams in 2023.

Among the 20,181 educators who participated in the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3, a substantial portion, specifically 9,556 individuals, which accounts for over 30 percent, did not attain the required passing score.

As outlined in the released results by the National Teaching Council (NTC), 10,625 teachers, constituting 52.6% of the total, successfully passed the examinations.

In an announcement by Dennis Osei-Owusu, the Head of Public Affairs at the NTC, it was disclosed that the results for the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3 would be unveiled on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Regarding the process for result retrieval, the NTC clarified that the results would be accessible on its official website, and candidates could view them using their unique examination pins. The statement advised candidates to visit the NTC online portal at exam.ntc.gov.gh, where they could input either the pins assigned during registration or their examination index numbers linked to their phone numbers. Candidates were further urged to print their provisional certificates following the result check.
