Malik Basintale Assumes Office as YEA CEO Amid Massive Support from NDC Youth

Youth from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flocked to the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) headquarters in Accra in large numbers to greet the new CEO, Malik Basintale. In response to Basintale’s open call on social media, the enthusiastic audience expressed their undying support and hope for a new era of young empowerment led by him.
Many people consider Malik Basintale, a former NDC Deputy National Communications Officer, to be a fervent supporter of job creation and youth development. There is a lot of excitement surrounding his selection by President John Dramani Mahama, especially among youthful NDC supporters who see him as a representation of change and optimism.
In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), Basintale called on his supporters to join him at the YEA headquarters, stating:
“I am a product of the street, and we’re not leaving anyone behind! Hence, dear 5k men, 3k women, far rangers, bodycams team, Cock and hold unknown rangers, fire flames, Okada ningers, etc., feel free to join me as I assume work at the YEA HQ. Let’s build the Ghana we want together!”
Hundreds of NDC youths flocked to the YEA premises in response to his invitation, celebrating by waving party insignia and singing slogans. Basintale’s strong ties to the party’s grassroots and his dedication to inclusive administration were demonstrated at the occasion.
Inside the YEA office, authorities and employees were getting ready to greet their new boss, while security guards made sure everything went smoothly. Cheers greeted Basintale as he arrived, and he spoke with the assembled supporters, pledging to give priority to young employment programs that fit with the government’s agenda.
The nomination of Basintale occurs at a critical juncture, as youth unemployment in Ghana continues to be a major problem. He has promised to put measures in place as the new CEO of YEA that will increase employment opportunities,
