Nkoranza North: Lordina Mahama Supports Hairdressers and Dressmakers
Former First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama has made a significant contribution to the livelihoods of hairdressers and dressmakers in Busunya, a community in the Nkoranza North constituency of the Bono East region.
Through the Lordina Foundation, she donated 120 sewing machines, 100 hair dryers, and other accessories to assist recently graduated apprentices and established ‘master’ craftswomen who train young girls in the district.
During the donation event, Mrs. Mahama stressed the importance of dedication and timeliness in their work, encouraging the beneficiaries to avoid procrastination and to be committed to meeting customer deadlines.
She highlighted that quality customer service is crucial for retaining existing clients and attracting new ones.
Mrs. Mahama also reiterated former President John Mahama’s commitment to a transformative Free Apprenticeship Programme, aiming to further empower young people with valuable skills and opportunities.
