Not everyone can survive everything I have been through,” shares Funny Face. Stay tuned for insights into his journey and resilience
Actor and comedian Funny Face, also known as Benson Nana Oduro, is eager to put his recent troubles behind him and start anew. After being granted bail of GH₵120,000 and two sureties on April 9, following his arrest on March 24 for a drunk driving incident where he hit five pedestrians with his Hyundai Atos car, he is determined to move forward.
Reflecting on his actions in an interview with Kofi TV, Funny Face expressed regret for the accident and acknowledged his responsibility, emphasizing his gratitude for still being alive. He acknowledged causing his own problems and appealed to Ghanaians for forgiveness, pledging to work hard to rebuild his life.
“I have caused problems for myself. All that I went through, I cannot blame anybody. I am the major cause of my problem. At times you do things and people get tired of your actions, that is the level I have gotten to but nobody will understand what you are going through.
Since his breakup with his partner Vanessa in 2021, Funny Face has faced various public controversies, including legal issues and struggles with his mental health, which some attribute to difficulties in accessing his children after the separation.
“Not everyone can survive what I have been through, If I have been able to go through all these unfortunate events and God has kept me alive, I thank Ghanaians. In this life it is only God,” Funny Face said in the video.
“I feel like cleansing myself with the sea and speak to Jehovah one-on-one. I felt I should come and do this to give Glory to God. I have to do this to speak to God and ask him to give me back the favour he gave me…Ghanaians should forgive me and give me another chance,” he stated.
