Oscars 2024: John Cena Presents An Award while Nearly Nude

At Sunday’s Oscars, John Cena displayed everything. In a comical appearance, the actor presented the best costume design award during the programme while standing on stage.

Indeed, Cena made an almost fully nude appearance on the Hollywood stage at the most esteemed event of the year.

In an apparent reference to the 1974 Academy Awards, in which a streaker dashed across the stage, host Jimmy Kimmel of the programme set up the skit.

Kimmel jokingly said, “Can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today? Wouldn’t that be crazy?”

From the corner of the stage, Cena peeked his head out and told Kimmel he didn’t want to “do the streaker bit anymore.”

“It’s an elegant event. Honestly, you should feel ashamed right now for suggesting such a tasteless idea,” Cena complained. “The male body is not a joke!”

Kimmel maintained that Cena, a well-known WWE wrestler, competes in naked. “Dude, I don’t wrestle naked,” Cena said. “I wrestle in jorts!”

“Jorts are worse than naked!” Kimmel said as the audience laughed.

At this time, the audience’s mouths fell as Cena approached the centre of the platform while wearing an enormous winner’s envelope over his privates.

“Costumes, they are so important. Maybe the most important thing there is,” he said while presenting the award.

With help from Kimmel, who subsequently covered Cena with a drape to make him appear far less exposed, they declared Holly Waddington the winner of the Oscar for best costume design for “Poor Things.”

Despite giving the impression that he was nude on stage, Cena “was covered in the groyne and butt crack area – and the envelope was velcroed to him,” a knowledgeable source says CNN.
