The incident, which took place on Saturday, November 2, involved a gang of four armed, masked men who executed a brazen daylight attack that left one individual injured.

The Ghana Police Service confirmed that they have launched an intensive manhunt for the suspects and assured the public of their commitment to capturing the gang and bringing them to justice. “We would like to assure the public that we will surely get them and bring them to face justice,” stated the police in an official release.

The vehicle identified as part of the heist is a Toyota Highlander with registration number GN 7357-19. Security agencies have circulated images of the car, which was seen fleeing the Adabraka crime scene and later tracked to Ashaiman. The suspects reportedly traveled along various points in Accra, including the Sunny FM Roundabout, Shiashie, and Accra Mall, before proceeding toward Ashaiman Zenu. According to eyewitness accounts, the robbers arrived armed and began the robbery by firing shots into the air, creating panic and dispersing onlookers.

The gunfire caused chaos, with shoppers and vendors scrambling to find cover and safety amidst the sudden violence. The gang quickly approached a red Toyota Corolla, targeting a man near the vehicle, and forced their way into the car. Within moments, they seized large sacks of cash that had recently been loaded into the trunk.
