Qatar Airways Renews Longstanding Partnership with FIFA, Extending Through to 2030
The FIFA World Cup 26TM, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027TM, FIFA World Cup 2030TM, and youth competitions, beginning with the FIFA U-17 World CupTM in Indonesia, will all be part of the reestablished partnership.
On the eve of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, Qatar Airways, a top-tier FIFA Partner since 2017, announced their collaboration as FIFA’s Global Airline Partner.
Qatar’s DOHA Qatar Airways is happy to announce the extension of its long-standing agreement with FIFA until 2030 as the Global Airline Partner, one year ahead of the incredible FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM.
At the signing ceremony marking the one-year anniversary of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, FIFA President Gianni Infantino was accompanied by Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group. The airline’s Boeing 787-8 and Airbus A350-900 were on display at the award-winning Hamad International Airport when the expanded cooperation was announced.
The agreement will apply to all young men’s and women’s competitions, starting with the FIFA U-17 World CupTM in Indonesia, and to major FIFA events such as the FIFA World Cup 26TM, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027TM, and the FIFA World Cup 20302030TM.l
Since May 2017, Qatar Airways has been an integral part of FIFA’s global initiatives, and with this renewed partnership, will continue to play a vital role in the development of football worldwide.
The announcement comes on the heels of the immense success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, which captivated audiences around the globe with its incredible stadia, unmatched hospitality, and pure on-the-pitch drama – culminating in a Final for the ages.
As FIFA’s Global Airline Partner, Qatar Airways will be able to engage with fans on a deeper level, both at the tournaments and through various digital platforms.
