CHRAJ Clears Rev. Kusi Boateng of Dual Identity and Financial Misconduct Allegations
Rev. Kusi Boateng Cleared of Dual Identity and Financial Misconduct Allegations

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has absolved Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng of allegations concerning dual identity and financial impropriety.
This follows a petition filed in January 2023 by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, who accused Rev. Kusi Boateng of possessing dual passports under separate names and engaging in conflict of interest as Secretary to the National Cathedral Board of Trustees.
CHRAJ’s investigation found no evidence supporting claims of dual identity. According to the commission’s findings, Rev. Kusi Boateng, also known legally as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, holds only one passport under the latter name. The allegations of a second passport under the name “Victor Kusi Boateng” were deemed unsubstantiated.
Additionally, the petition raised concerns over a payment of GH¢2.6 million from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a company associated with Rev. Kusi Boateng. CHRAJ’s probe revealed that this payment was not for services rendered but instead a reimbursement. The report detailed that Rev. Kusi Boateng had personally advanced funds to contractors working on the National Cathedral project when the Secretariat faced financial difficulties. Consequently, the commission concluded there was no wrongdoing in the transaction.
This ruling dismisses claims of financial misconduct and affirms the transparency of Rev. Kusi Boateng’s actions in his role within the National Cathedral Board of Trustees. Despite the resolution, the case highlights public scrutiny over governance and financial accountability concerning national projects in Ghana.
