S3fa Confirms Exit from D-Black’s Black Avenue Muzik Label
ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: S3fa Announces Departure from Black Avenue Muzik: D-Black’s Label Loses Star Artist

Ghanaian singer S3fa has officially announced her departure from Black Avenue Muzik, the record label managed by hip-hop and Afrobeats star D-Black. In an interview with Accra 100.5 FM on October 24, 2024, S3fa shared that her exit followed the expiration of her contract with the label.
The artist, known for hits like Fever, E Choke, Shuga, and Player, spoke about the challenges and business misunderstandings she encountered during her time with Black Avenue Muzik. “First of all, my contract ended,” she explained. “When you’re working with people you consider family, it’s always a roller coaster—things happen, a lot comes into play. So yes, there have been some business misunderstandings.”
S3fa joined Black Avenue Muzik seven years ago, a period during which she established herself as a leading figure in Ghana’s Afrobeats and Afropop scenes. The label provided her with a platform to rise to fame with a number of successful releases that connected with audiences both in Ghana and abroad.
Her career saw major milestones while at Black Avenue Muzik. E Choke, for instance, became a viral sensation, propelling her to a broader audience. Under D-Black’s mentorship, S3fa maintained a consistent presence in the music industry, collaborating with renowned artists, including a feature with Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie on Fever and working alongside Ivorian legend Fred Meiway.
Reflecting on her journey, S3fa’s years with Black Avenue Muzik have been instrumental in shaping her musical career, yet she now looks forward to exploring new paths as an independent artist.
