Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been denied bail for the third time by a New York City judge amid ongoing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. The decision follows earlier rejections by two other judges, all citing concerns over potential witness tampering. Combs, who is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, has entered a plea of not guilty while denying over two dozen sexual assault allegations lodged through civil lawsuits.

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, in his ruling, emphasized that Combs posed a risk to community safety and the integrity of the legal process. “The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” Judge Subramanian stated. Evidence presented suggested Combs’s involvement in attempts to influence witnesses, alleged prison misconduct, and claims of running a “criminal enterprise” involving forced labor and kidnapping.

Prosecutors have accused the hip-hop mogul of using jail communications to sway witnesses and orchestrate social media campaigns to influence public opinion. Despite these allegations, Combs’s defense team argued for his release, citing the need for adequate trial preparation. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.

Earlier in November, a judge ordered prosecutors to destroy certain documents seized during a search of Combs’s jail cell, which included personal legal notes and strategies. These developments have further intensified the spotlight on this high-profile case.
