Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has expressed that the difficulties faced by comedian Funny Face mirror the underlying issues within the creative industry.

Through a Facebook post, the dancehall artist suggested that the challenges confronting the comedian extend beyond issues stemming from his troubled relationships.

“The creative arts industry must break the cycle of self-punishment through depression and frustration. It’s time to speak up and seek help. What’s happening to Funny Face isn’t solely a marital issue; it’s indicative of deeper systemic challenges within our creative industries. Let’s acknowledge the dysfunction in our structures and stop pretending everything is fine. Speak up, it’s time for change!! Sorry my brother funny face ,May God see you thru [sic],” he wrote on Facebook.

Funny Face, also an actor, was involved in a motor accident at Kasoa in the Central Region on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Videos circulating on social media depicted eyewitnesses gathered around the actor on Sunday evening. According to one eyewitness, he heard a crash immediately after parking his car. The witness stated that Funny Face’s car collided with a woman, two children, and a man on a motorbike. The casualties were reportedly transported to the hospital.

In recent weeks, Funny Face has been vocal about his ex-girlfriend’s refusal to grant him access to his three children. The comedian, who previously battled depression and sought treatment, is believed to be emotionally unstable due to his ongoing issues with his ex-girlfriend, preventing him from seeing his children for the past four years.

In one of his recent outbursts before the accident, he expressed his intention to move on with his life elsewhere to avoid dwelling on his predicament.
