Six Ministers Approved by Parliament are Sworn in by President John Mahama
Six ministers are sworn in by President John Mahama after receiving approval from Parliament.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama has formally swon in six ministerial nominees following their approval by parliament.
The Jubilee House hosted the swearing-in ceremony, which signaled the start of their significant government positions and reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to tackling pressing national concerns.
The following individuals were appointed as members of the first set of ministerial nominations that Parliament approved:
- Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson
- Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General
- John Jinapor as Green Transition and Energy Minister
- Haruna Iddrisu as Minister of Education
- Kwame Agbodza as Minister of Roads and Highways
- Eric Opoku, Minister of Food and Agriculture.
These appointees are the first batch of ministerial nominees to be approve by the Parliament after thorough examination and discussion by the vetting committee.
The President emphasized the importance of their ministries to Ghana’s development and also voiced confidence in their capacity to fulfill their responsibilities:
“The roles you are assuming are critical to the progress of our nation. I have every confidence that your expertise and dedication will drive the transformative agenda we have promised Ghanaians,” the President remarked.
It is anticipated that the new ministers will be crucial in tackling urgent national issues such as infrastructure development, agricultural production, education reform, and economic recovery.
