Societe Generale Ghana Partners with Polytank Ghana to Establish Plastic Recycling Plant in Ghana
Societe Generale Ghana, a leading bank, has entered into a partnership with Polytank Ghana Limited to establish a plastic recycling plant in the country.
The Managing Director of Societe Generale Ghana, Hakim Ouzzani, highlighted the institution’s commitment to sustainable development beyond traditional banking activities, citing the project’s alignment with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 12.
The plant is projected to recycle 14 thousand metric tonnes of waste, offering significant environmental benefits, with Mr. Ouzzani suggesting that widespread adoption of similar initiatives could drastically reduce waste in Ghana.
Both Societe Generale Ghana and Polytank Ghana Limited are committed to collaborating to ensure the success of the recycling plant, reflecting their shared belief in the business’s potential to promote sustainability.
