Tema Port Truck Drivers to Commence Sit-Down Strike on May 6

Truck drivers at the Tema port have announced their plan to initiate a sit-down strike starting on Monday, May 6, 2024.

They are protesting against various issues such as attacks by armed robbers, harassment by uniformed personnel, and unlawful detention, demanding immediate action to resolve these issues.

According to an official notice, no trucks will be operational at Ghanaian ports on Monday, May 6. Additionally, they intend to hold a press conference on the same day at the JAPTU Ghana Secretariat situated at the Tema Port.
