Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mustapha Yusuf, Evans Bobie, his deputy, and Gifty Oware Mensah, the head of the Management Committee, paid the national women’s football team, the Black Queens, a visit. The visit is very important because it is the last Olympic qualification match before the team plays Zambia, a match that will decide the team’s fate in the 2018 Olympic Games.

The GFA leadership’s engagement highlights how crucial it is to recognize the contribution football makes to promoting patriotism and unity in the country. The Minister’s presence sends a message of support and encouragement to the Black Queens as they work to earn a berth in the prestigious international tournament, which is quickly approaching—the Olympic qualifiers.

The backing of the GFA, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Management Committee as the Black Queens prepare for the Olympic qualifiers is encouraging for the players and demonstrates the teamwork that goes into winning on a global scale.

The visit gives the leadership a chance to speak with the players, coaches, and support staff face-to-face. Before a crucial tournament, these exchanges help the team members feel motivated and united, which creates a pleasant environment. Additionally, it helps the officials comprehend the difficulties and requirements of the team, which promotes better strategic planning and resource allocation decision-making.

Ghanaians are excited to see the results of the next qualifiers, believing that the Black Queens will represent Ghanaian women’s football with talent and tenacity, and make the country proud.
