University of Ghana Opens Admissions for 2025/2026 Academic Year: Apply Now for Undergraduate, Top-Up, and Sub-Degree Programmes

One of the most prominent universities in the country, the University of Ghana, has formally opened its admissions portal for the 2025–2026 school year. The statement encourages the public, parents, guardians, and potential students to apply for a range of academic programs, such as undergraduate degrees, post-first degree alternatives, top-up programs, and sub-degree courses.
The University encourages all interested candidates to take advantage of this opportunity in a statement distributed through a flyer. Students are especially encouraged to apply before the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) are announced. This all-inclusive strategy guarantees that prospective applicants and present WASSCE holders can start the application process.
“All applicants who have WASSCE results and applicants who will be writing WASSCE in 2025 are eligible to apply,” the University emphasized, signaling a proactive admission approach to accommodate as many qualified students as possible.
The University has used e-vouchers for online applications in the past, but it hasn’t published a detailed application process guide for this cycle. Zenith Bank, Ecobank, GCB Bank, Access Bank, Republic Bank, Fidelity Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, First Atlantic Bank, Consolidated Bank Ghana, and Universal Merchant Bank are just a few of the many banks that offer these certificates. In order to prevent any mistakes that can cause processing to be delayed, applicants are strongly encouraged to carefully follow the instructions printed on the voucher when completing the online form. To start the registration process and view all application data, go to the official admissions website at https://admissions.ug.edu.gh/undergraduate/overview.
Whether you’re a high school graduate, a diploma holder seeking to top up your qualification, or someone looking to pursue a new academic direction post-first degree, the University of Ghana provides a wide array of options tailored to meet diverse academic goals.
