All visa appointments that were initially scheduled for Monday, March 31, 2025, have been rescheduled by the US Embassy in Accra in honor of the Eid-Ul-Fitr festival. Both candidates for non-immigrant and immigrant visas are affected by the changes, and new interview dates have been set.

According to the Embassy’s official communication:

  • Immigrant visa appointments have been rescheduled to Friday, April 4, 2025, at 7:00 AM.
  • Non-immigrant visa appointments will now take place on Friday, April 11, 2025, in the morning.

This week, applicants are encouraged to check their email inboxes for official information about their revised appointment schedules.

Muslims around the world commemorate Eid-Ul-Fitr, also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” as a major Islamic holiday. It is the last day of Ramadan, a sacred time for prayer, fasting, and introspection. Family get-togethers, charitable deeds, lavish dinners, and prayers are all part of the celebration. The Muslim population in Ghana observes Eid-Ul-Fitr extensively, and it is a public holiday.

It has been made clear by the US Embassy that it will be open on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and all visa interviews that are scheduled for that day will go accordingly.

Applicants affected by the rescheduling are encouraged to adjust their schedules accordingly and ensure they attend their interviews on the new dates provided.

For further inquiries, individuals may visit the official website of the US Embassy in Ghana or contact the consular section for assistance.
