Wendy Shay Donates Essential Supplies to Manhean M/A Basic School on World Children’s Day

Renowned Ghanaian musician Wendy Addo, widely known as Wendy Shay, continues her impactful charitable efforts by supporting underprivileged communities. In celebration of World Children’s Day 2024, she extended her philanthropic reach to the Manhean M/A Basic School in Ghana’s Eastern Region.

Through her foundation, Wendy Shay donated a variety of educational materials to improve the learning environment for students and teachers. These included over 100 school uniforms, 1,000 exercise books, 100 rulers, 100 pens, 100 sharpeners, 100 erasers, and 216 pencils. She also contributed six plastic chairs to enhance seating arrangements for both students and staff.

Additionally, Wendy Shay took steps to improve classroom conditions by providing four white marker boards, two graphic boards, 30 packs of whiteboard markers, and alphabet and number charts. These items aim to foster more interactive and accessible learning experiences. To further enhance comfort, she installed ten ceiling fans to create a conducive atmosphere during lessons.

Addressing the gathering, Wendy Shay highlighted her foundation’s commitment to addressing the school’s infrastructural needs. She funded the maintenance of cracked classroom floors, supplying 26 bags of cement and a truckload of sand to ensure safety for students and staff.

The “Vivian” hitmaker expressed her vision for ongoing community support, calling for collaborative efforts to scale her initiatives across Ghana. This significant donation is part of Wendy Shay’s broader mission to bring lasting change and opportunities to Ghanaian youth through education. Her gesture underscores the importance of collective efforts in improving educational stan dards and supporting children in need.
