Wizkid Suddenly Loses Mother

Connoisseur Nigerian superstar songster birthed Ayodeji Balogun but known in entertainment orbs as Wizkid has lost his mother.

Wizkid’s mother, government name Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, kicked the bucket at around 1.30 am, Friday dawn, according to a reliable source.

Though the ace vocalist-songwriter has not issued any communique to confirm the unfortunate incident, a report from Sunday Aare, Wizkid’s long-time manager enunciated that Mrs Balogun passed in the early hours of Friday, August 18.

The celebrated Grammy Award-winning artist’s close bond with his mother has been conspicuous throughout his career, as he unfailingly conveyed his profound admiration for her.

One can only imagine what he is going through emotionally at this point with the report of his mother’s demise.

Mrs Dalopo Jane Balogun who at the advent of Wizkid’s career didn’t like his ambition and was very resentful when Wizkid plunged out of school, became proud of her son’s career conquest when it became a reality.

She relentlessly contributed to the flourishment of the Ojwualegba singer’s ambition by exhibiting fondness for him from the sidelines at concerts and events. She was not just a mother but a sheer numero uno buff as well.
